This is a random photo while I shot during one of my trips to Indonesia. The contrasting curvature of the light rays to the bend of the ocean surface of the wave made me take a second look at this. Unfortunately the internet compression ruins the colors, but it still presents the composition elements.

hallows eve

Halloween is the best holiday of the year, and its even sweeter for me because my birthday is the day before.

This year, I turned the quarter century mark, 25, and celebrated it with a whole lot of friends. Three kegs and 15 or 20 handles of liquor later, here are photos of some of my friends and their costumes.

Desert Point

Desert Point has got to be one of, if not the, best wave in the world. A few days back, I finally fullfilled one of my biggest fantasys and got it good, albeit a lot of detour signs and missed opportunities.

time well spent.

From September 20th to October 2nd, I spent my time traversing the Western Sumatran Islands with 8 of my friends, looking for surf aboard a power catamaran.

Towards the end of the trip, the Padang Padang earthquake hit, a day before we were to arrive there. Here are a few hundred photos from the trip.

A week or so before I left for Indo, the Malibu community gave Dusty the proper send off, waterman style: the paddle-out. There must of been several hundred people in this circle. That is a large boat on the other side of the circle to give some sort of scale.
