Saturday was even hotter than friday. I think 70’s is about as hot as I could handle the city. I dont know how people can handle being here in summer when its 100+.
After shooting Jana in the morning after a LONG night before, (younger than jesus post) I set out to catch the skate contest uptown. Found Deering on the street, who later in the night before, after painting tiger stripes with his own blood on his face, (see the younger than jesus post) got jumped on his walk home in China Town and got pocket checked for his iPod. Stitches in his mouth and a busted up nose. Earlier in that night, another friend got held up at gun point in Brooklyn for his iphone.
Ran up to Harlem for the King of Spring contest. It was kinda madness.
Then a porch bbq.
Then headed over to Brooklyn to catch a skate movie premier of The Green Diamond guys new flick, “Rich Mahogany” at the Autumn bowl. Here on the bridge on the way.
Top secret entrance.
“We have tons of RATS”
The Autumn Bowl is this indoor skate park of sorts in an indisclosed location in Brooklyn. The concept is really sick. The people who run it, which are just other local skaters, charge people to get a key into the place. Then, you arent allowed to bring too many people. Keep it low key and localized of sorts. Reminds me of a certain beach I frequent often. Its great.
Bowl all filled up with kids awaiting.
They projected the movie straight onto the brick wall. Was pretty cool depsite barely being able to see the darker shots and the tech difficulties they had.
Ok, I feel filthy and slimy with party photography feeling. Its alright. I am done. Yuk.
